My Honeycutt Ancestors

My Honeycutt heritage, according to most recent research and additional information:

1st Generation) Gerald Lee Abernathy – Martha Anne Justice (my parents)
2nd Generation) Virgie Anne Honeycutt – Ivey Lee Abernathy
3rd Generation) Margaret Melvina Honeycutt (a single parent)
4th Generation) Joseph “Joe” Honeycutt – Frances “Frankie” Silvers
5th Generation) John Honeycutt – Alesey
6th Generation) John Honeycutt – Tabitha Hampton
7th Generation) Moses J. Honeycutt – Margaret Stout

I will add more details as time permits.

Do any HONEYCUTT cousins have photographs of any of these people? I would love to see them.

    my mother was a hunnicutt in charlotte,n.c.. she was orginally from
    the wingate n.c. area .
    her mother was virgie secrest hunnicutt and my grand dad was rufus hunnicutt.
    my grandmother was his 2nd wife out of 3.

  2. John Honeycutt (son of JACOB, son of Moses) married Ora Taletha Hampton and moved from NC to GA and died in the Confederate Army. He had 6 children and no son named John among them, The John who married Alesey is from a SC line that is unrelated.

  3. Hi, my name is Betty “Liz” Honeycutt. I am the grand -daughter of Calvin C. Honeycutt and great granddaughter of Grover C. Honeycutt. I have been trying to trace down my roots for some time now. If you could give any help on whether I’m heading in the right direction, that would be great. My Great grandmother (Grover’s wife) was Eliza Honeycutt. It has been said she was of Native American descent.
